Marital Status: Married, two children.
Address: NCSR "Demokritos" 153 10 Ag.Paraskevi Attikis, Greece.
Present Position: Director of Institute of Advanced Materials Physicochemical Processes Nanotechnology and Microsystems (IAMPPNM) of NCSR Demokritos. Head of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance group.
Research Interests: Application of solid state Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Nuclear Quadrupolar Resonance (NQR) techniques in the study of magnetic, superconducting, and structural phase transitions. Activities are focused in the study of colossal magnetoresistive manganites (e.g. the La1-xCaxMnO3 family), superconducting materials such as MgB2, molecule based magnets, and magnetic nanoparticles. Besides, there is intensive involvement in industrial and biomedical applications of solid state NMR techniques, with emphasis in the study of porous media and ferrofluids.
