3rd International Planetary Probe Workshop
June 27 – July 1, 2005, Anavyssos, Attiki, GREECE
The 3rd International Planetary Probe Workshop will be held during the week of June 27 – July 1, 2005 at the EDEN Beach Hotel-Club, Anavyssos, Attiki, Greece (near Athens). The goal of the Planetary Entry Probe Workshops is to bring together the communities of planetary scientists, spacecraft engineers, technologists, and mission designers and planners with expertise, experience, and interest in entry probe science and engineering, technology development, mission design, and aerodynamics/aerothermodynamics.
The workshop will comprise invited (30 minutes) and contributed (15 minute) oral presentations, posters, and discussions. Students are strongly encouraged to participate. Topics to be addressed include current methods, technologies, and algorithms; enabling technologies to achieve future science goals; entry and descent science, engineering and technology challenges; mission design; instrumentation; entry, descent and landing trajectory and attitude analysis and reconstruction; and aerocapture.

Short Course: Immediately preceding the workshop, on 25-26 June 2005, a two-day short course “Parachute
Design, Testing and Integration” will be offered.
Registration: The registration cost for the workshop is (in Euros):
Regular: 230Euro (after May 1, 2005: 275E)
Student: 75Euro (after May 1, 2005: 90E)
The registration fee includes lunch throughout the week.
Banquet: A Sea-side Banquet is planned for Thursday night and attendees and their spouses or other
accompanying persons are invited to specify their interest in attending during registering. The
cost is 38Euro per person including drinks.
Hotel reservations: The EDEN Beach Hotel-Club has been reserved especially for the Short Course and
Workshop. Special Workshop rates for the EDEN Beach Hotel are:
Single room: 70 Euro
Double Room: 80 Euro (A third bed can be added at a low rate)
Hotel rates include breakfast. A limited number of "budget-priced" rooms will also be available.
